We are excited to be back into flowers here on the farm! We've officially had the farmstand stocked with flowers two weekends in a row, and our Spring Subscriptions will start later this week.
We enjoyed a relatively mild winter, filled with lots of learning for our home educated kiddos, film making, sports, keeping up with the animals (not always easy after a low yield of hay) and some down time here and there over the colder months.
In March we welcomed a new baby calf to the farm- a little bull calf named Hershey. Our jersey cow Beatrice, did beautifully with calving and now we are enjoying the liquid gold of the family milk cow.
Spring looks a lot like farm clean up, seed sowing, moving row covers on and off to lessen the evening chill, dirty finger nails, planting, and harvesting! Here are a few photos from spring around the farm:
It's so wonderful to see little pops of color around the farm again, and we are so happy to be into our 4th season here in Merville.
