The last few days have felt a little bit more like summer than spring, but we are not complaining! What a beautiful month of April! The farm is bursting to life, and each day there is something to see. The orchard is coming into bloom, and the last of the tulips will be pulled in the next day or two. Our spring lambs have started to arrive, and we are settling in for a sixth spring here on the farm.
The tulips this year are beautiful as always, and a welcome site of color after a long winter without flowers. Flower club begins next week!
Everything in the hoop house is growing along beautifully. We added it to the farm last March, and it has made for a better paced spring. While the fields are emptier than usual the greenhouse is full! The first buds have arrived in only a few short weeks. Here is a shot from the first of April. It has filled in so much in just a few short weeks.
I will do my best to open the farmstand Friday-Sunday flowers permitting. Instagram is the best place to stay up to date on farm stand offerings. We are not offering eggs at the moment, as we downsized our flock in preparation for travel to India last winter.
